Atletico set to secure Gallagher deal and also eyeing Man City star – latest transfer news

Conor Gallagher has agreed to join Atletico Madrid and will fly to Spain to complete a move to the club, according to reports.

Transfers journalist Fabrizio Romano says the England midfielder has agreed terms to join Atletico and will sign a five-year deal with the club, with Madrid paying Chelsea €40m for the 24-year-old.

Atletico are also in talks with Manchester City over a deal for Julian Alvarez, Sky Sports say.

The deal reportedly being proposed by the Spanish side is said to be in the region of €55million (£46.8m) with add-ons pushing the total cost to €70m (£59m), which Sky Sports say falls far short of City’s valuation.

Elsewhere, Niclas Fullkrug has completed his West Ham medical ahead of his £27.5m move from Borussia Dortmund, Sky Sports are reporting, and midfielder Guido Rodriguez is also set to join the Hammers, Fabrizio Romano says.

Forward David Datro Fofana is expected to leave Chelsea this summer on loan with possible obligation-to-buy clause, also according to Romano.

Striker William Osula looks set yo join Newcastle from Sheffield United.

And Liverpool have rejected an offer worth up to £15m from Southampton to sign Fabio Carvalho, according to the Athletic’s David Ornstein.
