Ruben Amorim says Lisandro Martinez is nearing a long-awaited return to training.
The defender has been out for several months after suffering an ACL injury.
But Amorim is hoping to welcome him back in the near future.
“[Lisandro Martínez] is not fit for Liverpool game, but he is near but almost returning to the training with the team,” he said.
The United boss is unsure whether Noussair Mazraoui will be fit to return for this weekend’s game against Liverpool, however.
But everyone else who took part in international games is set to be fit.
“The rest of the guys from the national team, they are ready but some players play in Japan, so we need to be careful,” Amorim said.
“Diogo [Dalot] didn’t play the last game, Bruno [Fernandes] play 62 minutes, so we have to try to balance everything so that they area ready.”
