Arsenal finalising Merino signing, Man Utd agree deal for midfielder – latest transfer news

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over the signing of midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

Sky Sports say the deal is worth £50.7m, which includes performance-related add-ons, with the 23-year-old set to undergo a medical at the club.

Arsenal are finalising the signing of Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino for £32.6m.

Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal have agreed a £21.2m deal with Manchester City to sign Joao Cancelo, also according to Sky Sports.

Matheus Nunes is also being linked with a move away, with Atletico Madrid reportedly interested in a loan move for the midfielder.

Crystal Palace are close to agreeing a deal to sign striker Eddie Nketiah for £25m, plus £5m in add-ons, from Arsenal, while Fabio Vieira is set to join former club Porto on loan for the season from the Gunners.

Victor Osimhen’s agent has suggested that the striker’s immediate future lies in Europe, amid interest from Saudi Arabia, with Chelsea continuing to discuss a move with Napoli for the forward.

Chelsea have, however, completed the signing of goalkeeper Mike Penders from Genk for a fee of £17m, with the 19-year-old to join the club next summer, while Kepa is set to leave the Blues and join Bournemouth on loan.

Romelu Lukaku is also set to finally leave the club and join Napoli, while Ipswich remain in talks over a move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

Scott McTominay is close to finalising his Manchester United exit ahead of his move to Napoli.

Newcastle are close to agreeing a £70m deal with Crystal Palace for defender Marc Guehi, the Daily Mail say.

And Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool have made an approach for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, while Arne Slot is also set to make his first signing as Reds boss in goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will return to Valencia on loan this season.
