Arsenal make plans for potential Premier League trophy parade

Arsenal have confirmed their plans for a potential trophy parade if they win the Premier League next weekend.

Mikel Arteta’s side are currently one point clear at the top of the table but remain second favourites as Manchester City have a game in hand. If Manchester City drop points in their remaining fixtures against Fulham, Tottenham and West Ham, Arsenal will have the opportunity to take the initiative in their two remaining games- away to Manchester United and at home to Everton on the final day.

In preparation for a potential title celebration, Arsenal have already started planning a parade if they pip City to the title. Due to the many complications including road closure notices and other operational requirements, the club will need to plan the parade well in advance. Organising a parade on the final day would be problematic, so Arsenal certainly are not getting ahead of themselves by making early preparations.

If Arsenal do win the league, the parade would commence at 5pm from the Emirates Stadium at Drayton Park, travelling along Drayton Park, Aubert Park, Highbury Grove, St Paul’s Road, Upper Street and back to the stadium.

At 7pm, the parade would arrive back at the Emirates where the players will conduct speeches on the podium above The Armoury store on Hornsey Road, with the celebrations expected to end at 8pm.

Residents around the area have been advised to carry ID showing their address if they are to easily bypass the crowds of people and there will be a limit on the number of people in attendance in the area right beside the stadium.
