Arsenal named women’s club of the year at Ballon d’Or awards

Arsenal have been named as the women’s club of the year at the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards.

Renee Slegers guided her side to the Champions League trophy last season, beating serial winners Barcelona in the final.

They also saw off Real Madrid and Lyon on their way to the final, with Slegers securing silverware in her first season in charge of the club after taking over from Jonas Eidevall.

The Gunners also secured a second-place WSL finish, winning 15 of their 22 games.
