“That swelling has to come right down for him to have the chance to function. He wasn’t available to do that today yet. He’s improving but let’s see where he is in the next couple of days.”
“To continue to win, you have to win in different contexts. Some games we’ve been very good and the margin should have been much bigger and we didn’t manage to do that.
“Today maybe the margin wasn’t that big but we made it that because we were extremely efficient and ruthless in the opposition box.
“We won with a lot of injuries. Today, we lost Declan, Riccy. Gabriel Jesus comes back after such a long time without scoring a goal and scores a wonderful goal.
“Everybody is ready to contribute and that’s great.”
Arteta on Odegaard’s performance: “He needed some consistency and some games. Obviously he had, two times, the shoulder injury, then he had the big knee injury, and that takes a little bit of time.
“Now you can see that he’s flowing. His energy level is back to what it is. He’s affecting the game in a great way and I think he was really, really good today again.”
Mikel Arteta speaking in his post-match press conference: “Individually we had some huge performances. We were very efficient in the final third, attacking the box, and that made the difference.”

Gabriel Jesus on the impact of his Brazil and Arsenal team-mate Gabriel: “The moment he steps on the pitch, you could see the difference in our backline, the way he defends. This guy loves to defend the way I love to attack and obviously he loves to score goals as well.”
Gabriel Jesus speaking to Sky Sports: “It’s always hard to play against them. They have brilliant players, they come here all the time and they hurt us.
“At the beginning of the game they tried to delay the game. Everyone could see that.
“But the mentality of the team is something that really grows and each game it’s growing more. I think we won today because of the mentality.”

WHAT AN IMPACT FROM GABRIEL JESUS!
Just moments after coming on, he bends a beautiful strike into the corner from the edge of the box to make it 4-0 to Arsenal.
What a night this has turned into for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Gabriel and Gyokeres are off with Lewis-Skelly and Gabriel Jesus replacing them.
