Watch Arteta's full reaction

Arteta’s full press conference is available to watch on our YouTube channel:

Arteta on whether his side need to be "significantly better" in the second leg

“I think the margins were so small so I don’t think so but if it’s significantly better, hopefully the result is significantly different as well.”

Arteta: We cannot dominate PSG for the whole game

Arteta is asked about whether the message was to dominate PSG: “You cannot.

“This is one of the best teams. They have beaten all the English teams, the best teams in this country.

“You cannot dominate this team for 95 minutes.”

Arteta urges his team to do 'something special'

“We have a lot of chance to be in the final. You have to do something special if you want to be in the final and Paris is the time to do it.”

Arteta highlights one issue

Arteta says Arsenal had “an issue” in the first 15-20 minutes which was corrected and that the game changed after that.

“If we didn’t correct that, it was an issue we had with the ball in a very specific moment, you don’t have the chance to press them.”

He won’t say any more about what it was though.

Arteta says there was not much difference between the teams

“I saw two very good teams where the margins are so small.

“They had efficiency in front of the goal. Their keeper as well made a difference in the result we’ve seen tonight.”

Mikel Arteta reacts to PSG defeat

Mikel Arteta in his post-match press conference: “We are at half-time and my message is exactly the same after Real Madrid at home.

“We have to go to Paris and win and we are more than capable of doing it.”

PSG midfielder Vitinha: It was a great night

“It was a great night. It was a very good performance today from the team.

“We controlled the game with the ball. We had to adapt to different circumstances and we did it.”

Raya on what Arsenal need to do in the second leg

“Try to approach the game the same way. I thought we played really well.

“We created a lot of chances. We know we can win against any team.”

Raya says Arsenal's performance still gives them belief despite defeat

“We showed we can win the away game. We’re going there to win the game.”

Raya speaking to Amazon Prime

“They started very quickly with the goal and dominated the first 15 minutes.

“After that I thought we dominated most of the game and we created chances.

“We could have won the game.”

Sturridge points to Partey absence

Daniel Sturridge, meanwhile, says the absence of Thomas Partey through suspension proved costly for the Gunners in their first-leg defeat.

Rooney says Arsenal fans were disappointing

Speaking to Amazon Prime after the game, pundit Wayne Rooney says he was “disappointed” with the Arsenal fans and thought the atmosphere would be better.
