WATCH: Mikel Arteta's post-match press conference

Mikel Arteta reacts to Arsenal’s North London derby:

'Very rare to see' an 18-year-old like Lewis Skelly

Arteta puffed out his cheeks when asked about Lewis-Skelly. “18-years-old, playing against Kulusevski and Johnson, in a big London derby for the first time, to perform with that composure and that attitude and the control emotionally, very rare to see.”

WATCH: Ange Postecoglou's post-match press conference

Ange Postecoglou reacts to Tottenham’s 11th defeat of the season:

Arteta hails 'sensational' Arsenal

“I’m so proud of the team. I think we were sensational. I think it was a good test after two big performances and not getting rewarded, in two different competitions.

“We had to play the biggest game of our season for our people in those conditions and it’s a test of attitude and what we’re made of.

“I’m very proud to see a team that behaves in that manner.”

Spurs 'nowhere near good enough' against Arsenal

Ange Postecoglou admitted after the game that it was “not good enough” from his Tottenham team.

“Especially the first half, we were way too passive and allowed Arsenal to take control the game. I’m really disappointed with and without the ball, we allowed them to dictate the tempo.

“It’s not who we are, it’s not the way I set the team up to be sitting there and allowing Arsenal to play to their tempo. It just wasn’t good enough.”

Rice: Lewis Skelly is unbelievable

More from Rice on Myles Lewis Skelly: “The young boy Miles is just unbelievable,” he said. “For 18, what he showed tonight was just ridiculous.

“It’s scary. The 18-year-olds now have got no fear. They’ve got no fear whatsoever.

“He’s got that Mousa Dembele trait. I’m not just saying it. But where he uses his body to get away from stuff and sometimes it’s risky, but to show that at 18 and the personality and character, honestly it’s unbelievable.”

Declan Rice says Arsenal could have scored ten

Declan Rice speaking to TNT Sports after the game: “To be honest with you, I think we were unlucky we probably didn’t score 10 tonight. I think that’s the feeling.

“I think in the second half, the game got stretched and they could have maybe scored a couple but we could have had another five or six and that’s the disappointing thing.”
