Mikel Arteta says he hopes to have Kai Havertz back to face his former club when Arsenal take on London rivals Chelsea on Sunday.
Havertz has been out with a hamstring issue but Arteta is hoping he will train ahead of the London derby, with a decision then set to be taken on whether he will play.
“We’re waiting for tomorrow, the last training session, to understand whether we have one or two available from last week,” Arteta said.
“We are hopeful. Kai will train tomorrow and Ben (White), let’s see.”
Meanwhile, Max Dowman is also building up his return to fitness and is due to feature for the Under-21s side on Friday.
