Jude Bellingham’s extra-time winner secured England’s spot in the World Cup semi finals with a 2-1 win over Norway.

Andreas Schjelderup had given Norway the lead ten minutes before half-time when his mis-hit cross caught out Jordan Pickford.

But Bellingham equalised before the break, racing through from Anthony Gordon’s pass and finishing low into the bottom corner.

Norway thought they had re-taken the lead early on in the second half when Torbjorn Heggem tapped in following a scramble at a corner, only for it to be disallowed for a push by Erling Haaland on Elliot Anderson following a VAR check.

And after the 90 minutes ended level, Bellingham struck in extra time, following in after goalkeeper Orjan Nyland had spilled Morgan Rogers’ shot to tap in from close range.

The Three Lions will now face Argentina or Switzerland in the semi finals.
