Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham says his side’s Champions League final win over Borussia Dortmund is the best night of his entire life.
The England midfielder set up Vinicius Jr for his side’s second of the game in a 2-0 win to lift his first Champions League trophy in his debut season at Real Madrid.
And the 20-year-old says he could not have dreamed that his first season at the club would go as well as it has done.
He told TNT Sports after the game: “I always dreamed of playing in these games. You go through life and there are so many people who say you can’t do things and days like today just remind you of what you can do.
“It gets a bit hard at times and you wonder if it’s worth it and all those kind of things but nights like tonight make you realise it is.
“I was alright until I saw my mum and dad’s face. The amount of nights where they got home at 7 o’clock and they are doing trips at 11 or 12 at night to take me to football.
“I can’t put it into words. It’s the best night of my life.
Reflecting on his first season at the club, he added: “We missed out on the Copa Del Rey, that’s the only disappointing thing I suppose but there’s many more years to try and get that one.
“I couldn’t have dreamed it much better than this.”
