Ange Postecoglou was asked in his press conference about Ruben Amorim’s claim that winning the Europa League would not save their season, and is asked whether it would do so for Tottenham.
“What do I care what Man United think? Why is that relevant to me? You know better than me, you follow this club more than I have. What do you think a trophy would do for this club?
“People are fearing that it might actually happen. They’re trying to tear it down and diminish it and try to compare us to Man United.”
“It was great to see the smiles on their faces and similarly for the fans back home.
“We’ve given them something to dream about.”
Reaction from Ange Postecoglou, speaking to TNT Sports: “Couldn’t be prouder of the lads. We knew it was a difficult place to come and we were aware of the record they have here.
“The lads handled it really well.
“We’ve grown in maturity throughout this competition. The lads understand what’s required.”
Pedro Porro did not attempt to claim he meant his goal, telling TNT Sports: “I crossed for Dom!”
Dominic Solanke speaking to TNT Sports: “We’re delighted to give them (the fans) what they deserve.”
Ange Postecoglou and his players are basking in the celebrations in front of the few hundred Spurs fans who have made the long trip.
It’s been a hugely difficult season for everyone involved but finally they have something big to celebrate.

A routine win for Spurs and they are through to the Europa League final in Bilbao, where they will take on Manchester United in what will be a HUGE game.
