Manchester City duo Rodri and Rayan Cherki have both trained ahead of the Champions League tie against Monaco.
Rodri missed City’s win over Burnley on Saturday because of a knee issue.
“Rodri was training and said, ‘I’m not able to play. I have a lot of pain in my knee. I cannot play, I cannot play.’ And I said, ‘if you cannot play, you cannot play’,” Guardiola said after the game.
But the Spaniard was involved in the open part of City’s training in front of the media ahead of the trip to France.
Cherki also took part having missed the last six games with a thigh issue.
But there was no sign of Rayan Ait-Nouri, who has also been sidelined of late through injury.
Omar Marmoush also continues to miss out with the knee ligament injury he suffered while playing for Egypt.
Abdukodir Khusanov is also out with the injury he picked up against Arsenal.
