Borussia Dortmund boss says this will not be Sancho’s last Champions League final but is unsure on winger’s future

Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic says he does not know what Jadon Sancho’s future holds after his loan spell at the club ended with a Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

Sancho joined his former side on loan in January and helped them to the final of the Champions League, which ended in a 2-0 loss following goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr.

The 24-year-old now returns to his parent club Manchester United, where he had fallen out with manager Erik ten Hag, whose own future also remains uncertain.

And Terzic, while unsure of what his future holds, believes it will not be the last Champions League final Sancho plays in his career.

“We haven’t spoken about the future because we’ve spoken about the present, which was playing in the Champions League final in his hometown,” Terzic said.

“I’m happy he’s with us, and I think you can feel the joy he feels and brings.”

“We don’t know what the future will bring him, but for sure it is going to bring him another Champions League final.”
