Bournemouth 0-0 Chelsea LIVE – Blues slump to goalless draw

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca speaking to Sky Sports: “I think we tried to win the game. We had some chances. I said many times it’s important not to lose when you don’t win. We missed a bit of quality in the last third but we need to go again on Tuesday.”

Chelsea drop more points, as this one finishes 0-0. Bournemouth can feel aggrieved that they didn’t manage to win the game.

They had a goal ruled out and also had been given a penalty before the lead up was ruled to be offside.

After that they continued to be the more threatening team, but couldn’t find a way.

Chelsea had one stand-out chance, when Garnacho hit the post from a header, but that was it.

One point out of six from games against Leeds and Bournemouth is thoroughly disappointing.

It’s been a quiet second half. A quiet game from Chelsea’s perspective. They have offered disappointingly little.

Can either side find a winner?

Semenyo aims a vicious strike at Sanchez, which he saves well.

Bournemouth look the more likely to snatch a winner.

Coming in from the left, Garnacho attempts a curled finish which goes inches wide. Not a bad effort.

Ales Scott goes on a great run into the box and looked set to get a shot off, before Gusto foils him with a brilliant challenge.

Semenyo is proving impossible to get off the ball for Chelsea’s players. He keeps shrugging them off with ease.

Neto delivers a teasing cross which Garnacho gets his head on. It hits the post, but came very close to going in.

Chelsea have been disappointing, Bournemouth have been very good.

The Cherries have also had a goal ruled out and deserve to be ahead.

Semenyo shoots from the left side of the box and it’s well saved by Sanchez. It falls to Evanilson at speed and he cannot convert.

Delap goes off for Guiu.

Senesi landed on the Englishman after a corner that Chelsea were defending. Looked to be an issue with his shoulder.

Gusto did a roulette, shifted it to Neto, who took a beautiful touch and bombed down the right before delivering a great cross to Delap.

The Englishman could do nothing with it but that was great football.

Palmer, in his first start since September, has been very good. Some very nice dribbles.

It’s been a terrible start for Chelsea. Almost a goal down, almost a penalty given away, and so sloppy on the ball.

Justin Kluivert gets taken out by Reece James and it would have been a penalty, but it was again called offside.

Semenyo almost strikes for Bournemouth!

Evanilson attempts a shot which is well blocked, but the ball falls to Semenyo in the box who finishes well.

We’re less than 10 minutes away from kick-off.

Bournemouth are not in good form and have lost four of their last five games.

This is a good opportunity for Chelsea to get a win and capitalise on Arsenal’s defeat to Aston Villa.
