Burnley have suffered another injury setback with Aaron Ramsey ruled out for around six weeks with a hamstring injury.

The midfielder joins a lengthy absentee list which already includes Bashir Humphreys, Josh Cullen, Hannibal, Jaydon Banel, Jacob Bruun Larsen and Dastan Satpayev.

“Unfortunately Aaron Ramsey is out for six weeks with his hamstring, so it’s another one on the list,” Burnley boss Nicky Hayen said.

“But we have to look for solutions.”

Burnley still have one free place available in that squad, with Marcus Edwards or Mike Tresor potentially in contention to fill it following Ramsey’s injury.

Asked when a decision could be made, Hayen added: “This is a possibility in the upcoming hours and days.

“We’re aware now also with Aaron being injured that we have to take a decision.”
