Live updates from Turf Moor as Manchester City take on struggling Burnley.

Parker: The players have given me everything

Burnley boss Scott Parker: “I can’t be critical of this team. This team have given us everything every single day. You can fault us in certain moments where we lacked a quality about us – and we haven’t got enough points in this division. I think tonight’s performance represents us a little bit of what we are. I’m immensely proud of this team. I may get ridiculed for saying that in the world we live in. I’m being honest, but that’s the way it is.

“These players have come in with a humongous challenge and we’ve fallen a little bit short. We needed to overachieve this year. Overachieve and overachieve, every single game. And we haven’t managed to do that.”

Walker emotional after Burnley relegation confirmed

Burnley defender Kyle Walker: “I’m a bit emotional because I came here with a dream to keep this club up. I’ve achieved a lot in my life in football, but this would have been right up there. It wouldn’t have been a title, but it would have been something special to keep that club up.”

Guardiola: Five games left and we'll see what happens

“Winning is the main target. Considering the last three days and the emotions and the physicality with the game we play, we make an extraordinary game, except the first half when we defended two actions not good in behind. The line was not correct.

“The second half, in general, was good and wow, the chances we created, we could have scored more goals but the important thing is winning every game.

“Five games for both teams and we’ll see what happens.

“In terms of what I asked for the team, focusing on what we have to do and how we have to play, they have been extraordinary because we play really, really good.”

Guardiola on Rosenior's sacking: I'm so lucky

“I’m so sorry, I’m pretty sure he’s a manager for this level. Always when that happens, I think about how lucky I am, being in this club.

“I picked the right club ten years ago with an incredible hierarchy, incredible CEO, sporting directors, unbelievable. The consistency, the trust with the people working here, it’s amazing. I’m so lucky.”

Guardiola responds to claim performance levels dropped tonight

Pep Guardiola is asked if his side’s performance levels dipped compared to the win over Arsenal on Sunday.

“I completely disagree. We had a better performance in terms of chances than Sunday.”

“The chances were there, we create a lot and played a fantastic game.

“Of course we can do better with scoring goals but the guys did everything.”

Haaland: 1-0 is amazing

Erling Haaland left a bit bemused by some of the questions from the Sky Sports reporter about the lack of goals tonight.

“It’s all about winning, no matter how.

“1-0 is amazing. Be positive!”
