Chelsea and England goalkeeper Hampton ruled out for a few weeks

Chelsea and England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton is set to miss “a few weeks” because of a quad injury.

Blues boss Sonia Bompastor, speaking ahead of her side’s game against Liverpool, says the 24-year-old could be out until January.

“Hannah won’t be here, she picked up a quad injury,” Bompastor said.

“She’ll be out for a few weeks so we’ll see if we can see her before the end of the year, but I’m not sure.”

It means Hampton could also miss England’s upcoming friendlies against China on 29 November and Ghana on 2 December.
