Nicolas Jackson has joined Bayern Munich on an initial loan deal from Chelsea.

The deal also includes an obligation for Bayern Munich to buy the Senegal striker in a deal worth a total £70.5m.

Jackson had been due to join Bayern last week before Chelsea pulled the plug, believed to be because of concerns around the injury suffered by forward Liam Delap.

But with Marc Guiu recalled from his loan spell at Sunderland, Jackson has been allowed to join the reigning German champions.

It brings to an end a two-year spell at Stamford Bridge, where he scored 30 goals in 81 games.

Ben Chilwell has also left Chelsea, joining fellow BlueCo owned club Strasbourg on a permanent deal.

Chilwell joined the Blues from Leicester in 2020 and was part of the Champions League winning team that year.

Meanwhile, the Blues earlier sealed the signing of attacking midfielder Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton.
