Chelsea have confirmed the departure of forward Christopher Nkunku, who has joined AC Milan on a permanent deal.

The fee is believed to be around £36m, including add-ons, and takes Chelsea’s total sales this summer to around £314m.

Nkunku joined Chelsea in 2023, and scored 18 goals in 62 appearances for the club.

His exit looks set to be followed by Nicolas Jackson, who is finalising a loan move to Bayern Munich.

The deal will include an option for Bayern to buy the striker, believed to be worth around £56m, at the end of his loan spell too.

Jackson scored 30 goals in 81 games for Chelsea but would have found himself down the pecking order this season following the signings of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Meanwhile, Tyrique George is attracting interest from Roma ahead of the transfer window deadline on Monday.

Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi will also be allowed to leave before the window shuts.

Chelsea are, however, close to completing the loan signing of Brighton attacking midfielder Facundo Buonanotte.

They are also set to sign Alejandro Garnacho on a permanent deal from Manchester United.
