Chelsea have confirmed the departure of young midfielder Mathis Amougou, who has joined fellow BlueCo owned club Strasbourg on a permanent deal.

The Blues only signed Amougou from Saint-Etienne in January for a fee of around £12m, playing just twice for under Enzo Maresca before heading back to France.

Strasbourg are also owned by the consortium, BlueCo, which owns Chelsea, with the 19-year-old completing a move believed to be worth around £12.5m.

His departure is set to be followed by the exit of young defender Zak Sturge, who is set to join Championship side Millwall.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the club, and Hayters.com understands he will now join the fellow London side on a permanent basis.

Noni Madueke is also on his way out of Chelsea, having left their Club World Cup camp in America to return home to London, where he is set to undergo a medical at Arsenal.

“Noni is in contact with the new club,” Maresca said on Madueke’s expected move to the Gunners.

“I guess he is going to be (announced) in the next hours.

“I said in the one of the last press conferences, if players want to leave then it is difficult for the club and the manager.

“Noni decided to leave, nobody told Noni he had to leave. If he is happy, we are happy.”

Goalkeeper Djordje Petrović looks to be headed for the exit too, with Bournemouth having agreed a deal to sign the Serbian shot-stopper.

The Blues take on PSG in the final of the Club World Cup on Sunday.
