Chelsea have been handed another injury concern with midfielder Enzo Fernandez pulling out of the Argentina squad.

Fernandez is struggling with a knee problem and will not play in his national side’s friendly against Puerto Rico next week.

The 24-year-old played most of his side’s win over Venezuela on Wednesday.

But he is now set to return to Chelsea, who will be hoping he is not set for a spell on the sidelines.

The Blues have already been without several other key players of late, though will be hoping to have Wesley Fofana, Tosin and Andrey Santos back after the international break.

But Cole Palmer is set for a longer spell on the sidelines, while Levi Colwill and Dario Essugo are out for the long term.

Reece James also pulled out of international duty with England ahead of the friendly game against Wales through injury.
