Chelsea set to complete signing of striker

Chelsea have announced that they will sign Strasbourg striker Emmanuel Emegha.

Emegha scored 14 goals and provided three assists in 27 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, and will officially join the Blues next summer from their sister club.

He is set to sign a seven-year deal with Chelsea and will spend another season at Strasbourg before linking up with Enzo Maresca’s squad.

The signing of Emegha becomes the latest deal between the two clubs, who are both owned by the BlueCo consortium.

Ben Chilwell left Chelsea to join the French side on the final day of the transfer window.

Meanwhile, Mike Penders and Kendry Paez moved to the Ligue 1 club on loan, while Mamadou Sarr joined Chelsea from Strasbourg, before returning there on loan.

Strasbourg also signed midfielder Mathis Amougou this summer from the Blues on a permanent deal.
