Live updates from our reporter James St Denis at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea take on Bayer Leverkusen in a pre-season friendly.
And that’s the game!
Chelsea see off Bayer Leverkusen 2-0.
Game, set and match for Chelsea!
Good work down the right hand side from Rak-Sakyi sees his cross go through a crows of bodies before finding Joao Pedro on the edge of the box, and he fires the ball low into the bottom right corner.
Jamie Gittens is causing Leverkusen all sorts of problems with his speed and trickery.
This time he beats three defenders before laying the ball off for Jorrel Hato who fires wide.
The substitutions have taken the potency out of this game.
Chelsea still firmly in control.
Pedro Neto is still going for Chelsea, and forces Mark Flekken into a good save low down to his left hand side.
Three youngsters are coming on.
Josh Acheampong, Andrey Santos and Estevao all come off.
Aaron Anselmino, Samuel Rak-Sakyi and Genesis Antwi come on in their places.
Estevao getting the biggest applause after a great performance.
Patrik Schick is replaced by Victor Boniface.
Joao Pedro showing off his flair by putting it through Jerry Mensah’s legs.
Calm down Joao it’s only a friendly.
Almost an instant impact from substitute Gittens, who gets behind the Leverkusen defence before cutting the ball back for Estevao but the Brazilian fires wide.
Liam Delap, Tyrique George and Malo Gusto come off.
They’re replaced by Joao Pedro, Reece James and Jamie Gittens.
Acheampong slips near the Chelsea box and Leverkusen pounce on it. The ball was fed to Shick but he cannot convert from close range
George skies one well wedge from inside the left flank. The game is mellowing, and you can now tell it is a pre season friendly
Jorrel Hato gets his first taste of Stamford Bridge as he, Dario Essugo and Pedro Neto come on for Cucurella, Caicedo and Palmer
A good first half for Chelsea. They have come very close to scoring a second on multiple occasions. Estevao has been the man of the moment, and Enzo Maresca may even consider taking him off to keep him fresh for the Premier League
Estevao has had a debut to remember. Threatening at every turn, he isn’t shy of confidence and hasn’t been afraid to get efforts off on goal. He comes close again here as he shoots from just inside the box
The referee calls foul for a challenge made by Caicedo, which seemed fair, but a free kick was given and Jorgensen did well to push it away. Enzo Maresca was furious at the fourth official on the touchline.
Every time Cole Palmer gets on the ball he is looking to pick out Estevao. Seems to be a real connection between the two
It’s getting a bit tasty here as Palmer takes offence to a particularly nasty challenge from Jarell Quansah, and lets him know how he feels. Players from both sides quickly got involved and it broke up
Tyrique George whips in a teasing cross into the middle of the box which Delap gets on the end of. He directs it on target but Flekken is able to deal with it
A frantic period sees Delap miss from close range, before Cole Palmer dinks an effort over Mark Flekken which skims the post and rebounds into play. Debutant Estevao was there to clean it up from three yards out
Trevoh Chalobah is shown a yellow card for pulling down Nathan Tella.
Moises Caicedo tries his luck from over 25-yards out on the volley, but Mark Flekken catches the ball well.
Bits of magic from Cole Palmer and Estevao.
The pair combine again but the Brazilian’s resulting shot is blocked.
The 18-year-old is certainly a crowd favourite already.
Nathan Tella’s shot is blocked off for a corner.
The resulting corner leads to another corner.
Early doors but Chelsea look up for it.
Cole Palmer plays a wonderful ball to new boy Estevao, who sprints at the Leverkusen defence before diverting his cross into the path of Marc Cucurella, but his shot is blocked.
