LIVE updates from Stamford Bridge as Chelsea face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest boss Vitor Pereira: “The speed of the team, we can change the players, but the speed will be there. We are a team that want to keep our future in our hands and to do that we need to win games and not to be worried with the results of the other teams. If we win, we keep the distance and today another game, they proved again the speed, the quality and organisation. I am very happy for them and the players and the supporters.”
Chelsea interim head coach Calum McFarlane: “A really disappointing result and performance. The first 15 minutes was not good enough. That set the tone.
“Its hard to say [why it went wrong at the moment, I’d probably like to review the game to look at such a stark contract to the way we defended against Leeds.
“Enzo Fernandez hits the post and Cole Palmer misses the penalty; when you have such a bad start you need those kind of moments to go in your favour and unfortunately they didn’t.”
Chelsea striker Joao Pedro: “Everyone needs to look at themselves – me included. We need to find a way to do better. I feel sorry for the fans – tomorrow we see what has gone wrong.
“It’s difficult because I don’t think it’s about the coach. It’s about the players and it’s on us to step up, me included. It’s difficult to say something.”
Jesse Derry has been taken to hospital as a precaution following his first-half substitution during today’s #PL game against Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels: “In the last few weeks we did really well, didn’t lose a lot of games. We are doing well, the gaffer brings a lot of positive energy. He changed a lot of players today but [Dilane] Bakwa, Taiwo [Awoniyi] they performed really well. Really happy for them because they don’t always play but they’ve showed they can be there so really happy for these guys.”
The Nottingham Forest striker on seizing his opportunity to start today: “Football is a team game, everyone needs to be ready and it’s not about everyone starting, it’s about the team.”
And that’s it. A double from Taiwo Awoniyi and a penalty converted by Igor Jesus put Forest in the driving seat at Stamford Bridge.
Despite a stunning consolation goal by Joao Pedro, Chelsea walk away still on 48 points and without a win in six league games.
Forest are now six points clear of the relegation zone.
Chelsea win a corner and Enzo Fernandez takes it quickly, but Moises Caicedo can only head it over the bar.
In some style, Chelsea finally find a goal. Marc Cucurella heads a ball into the box which Joao Pedro controls with his chests, and rifles it into the net with one of the cleanest bicycle kicks you’ll ever see.
Where has that been for Chelsea all afternoon?
The fourth official has shown nine minutes to be added onto the second half as Stamford Bridge sees fans steadily streaming out.
It’s now or never for Chelsea, and Cole Palmer wins a corner when another shot from outside the box is blocked.
The Blues get the ball to Enzo Fernandez, but it’s the same story, another shot blocked, and Forest are edging closer and closer to 10 games unbeaten.
Matz Sels produces a great save low on his left to deny Cole Palmer, who rifles in from outside the box.
Sums up Chelsea’s afternoon quite well.
With Chelsea committing almost everyone forward, Forest have a go on the counter. James McAtee tries to cross a ball in from the right-hand side, but there are only Chelsea shirts in the box to clear.
Vitor Pereira brings on Omari Hutchinson for Dilane Bakwa, who provided the assist for Forest’s first goal.
Moises Caicedo brings down James McAtee and gets a yellow for the foul. Liam Delap joins his team-mate in the ref’s book for dissent after the fact.
Chelsea finally thought they had their goal, as Sels denied Joao Pedro’s first close-range effort but could not save the second.
Unfortunately for Chelsea, the forward was inches offside, and ref Anthony Taylor signals a goal kick.
It really is just one of those days for Chelsea.
Just 20 minutes after he came on, Morgan Gibbs-White is also taken off the pitch and follows Robert Sanchez down the tunnel.
Chris Wood replaces him up front.
Robert Sanchez is taken off with a bandaged head, and Filip Jorgenson comes onto the pitch in his place.
Morgan Gibbs-White chases down a long ball and Robert Sanchez comes to the edge of the box to clear it. The two players collide as the ball goes out of play, and are both down, receiving treatment along concussion protocols.
With Chelsea putting everything into trying to get one back, the game is opening up. From a Forest scramble in front of the Chelsea goal, Malo Gusto goes tearing down the field and gets a ball to Cole Palmer just outside the box. He floats a ball across to Enzo Feranandez but Neco Williams clears before he can get a shot off.
Romeo Lavia is making way for Andrey Santos, the Blues’ third change so far.
That is the last thing that Chelsea needed. There were lots of cries for offside, but the goal stands and the Blues will need something very special to get anything from this afternoon.
As it stands, Forest are now eight points clear of the drop.
Forest get their third! Immediate impact from Vitor Pereira’s changes, as Morgan Gibbs-White on the right side makes a run and slots the ball through to Taiwo Awoniyi.
The winger beats Roberto Sanchez and the back post and gets his second of the afternoon.
Three changes for Forest at the start of the second half. Jair Cunha, Nicolas Dominguez and Igor Jesus are off and Nikola Milenkovic, Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White are on.
Toisin Adarabioyo comes off for Levi Colwill
