Chelsea’s six-game Premier League losing streak came to an end at Anfield with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool.

It looked like it could be another long afternoon for Chelsea after six minutes, when Ryan Gravenberch curled in an opener for the home side.

But Calum McFarlane’s side responded well and equalised ten minutes before the break, when Enzo Fernandez’s low free-kick from out on the right-hand side somehow found its way into the bottom corner.

Cole Palmer thought he had put Chelsea ahead after the restart, only for it to be disallowed following a VAR check for a marginal offside call on Marc Cucurella beforehand.

Liverpool fans repeatedly expressed their frustration with their team throughout, including loud boos when boss Arne Slot opted to bring off the lively Rio Ngumoha for Alexander Isak, and after the final whistle.
