Crystal Palace dealt worrying injury blow in draw with Brentford as Glasner gives update

Oliver Glasner says USMNT defender Chris Richards will be assessed after suffering an ankle injury against Brentford.

Palace drew 2-2 at their London rivals as they were twice pegged back after taking the lead, first through Ismaila Sarr and then Adam Wharton.

But they were also dealt a worrying injury blow for key man Richards, ahead of their Conference League final on May 27.

“He twisted his ankle,” Glasner said on Richards.

“I think he got Thiago landing on his ankle and then it twisted. It’s quite swollen, so we have to assess it further, but hopefully he can return in the midweek.”
