Cunha claims Carrick has brought the magic of Sir Alex to Man Utd again

Matheus Cunha says the magic of Sir Alex Ferguson is evident in Michael Carrick.

Carrick has guided United back into the Champions League, securing their return to Europe’s top competition with a 3-2 win over fierce rivals Liverpool.

Carrick’s current deal with the club expires at the end of the season, but Cunha says the United boss has the capability to continue.

“I sat on the bench with him,” Cunha said.

“How he teaches everyone is amazing. He has the magic with these Ferguson times. Then he comes and brings it to us, teaches us how it was, to be part of everything. Then he did this.

“It’s amazing. He’s a pleasure. Of course, I think he deserves it.”
