New Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche says owner Evangelos Marinakis wants to “stabilise” the club after a hectic and disappointing start to the season.
Dyche takes over from Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked after just eight games in charge of the club having failed to win any of them.
And the former Everton and Burnley boss says he knows he has a big job on his hands to get the club back to where Marinakis wants.
“There’s a small part of the fanbase who thinks we are here in the Premier League now,” Dyche explained. “But there’s another part who thinks this is not a given. I don’t believe the Forest fanbase thinks it’s a given.
“The start of the season maybe reminded the fans that we couldn’t keep doing that without reinforcing.
“There’s been huge changes at this club. You can question the owner currently which a few have. But at the end of the day, there’s been a lot of good, good feeling, good things around the area and the city. There’s a bigger picture to it.
“He wants to stabilise things. But there’s huge work to be done and he is aware of it. It’s the job of me, my staff and the players to do it.”
