Hello and welcome to this Hayters TV live blog.

We’ll have updates throughout the day as managers face the media in their press conferences, as well as the latest transfer news ahead of tonight’s deadline.

23:31 Where we stand at the end of the transfer window

The deadline has officially passed, but we are still awaiting confirmation on a few deals…

  • Jadon Sancho is expected to join Chelsea on loan with an obligation to buy.
  • Raheem Sterling’s loan move to Arsenal is also expected to go through.
  • Ivan Toney is moving to Saudi side Al Ahli.
  • Chelsea have NOT reached a deal for Victor Osimhen, who stays put at Napoli.
  • Carlos Soler set to join West Ham from PSG.
  • Reiss Nelson is joining Fulham.
  • Odsonne Edouard joining Leicester City on loan.
  • Everton are hoping to conclude a loan with an option to buy deal for Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

23:05 Nelson heading to Fulham

David Ornstein is reporting that Reiss Nelson is now heading to Fulham on loan instead.

23:02 Deadline passes

The transfer window is now shut! We’re still waiting for confirmation on some deals but it looks as though the moves for Reiss Nelson and Armando Broja to go to Ipswich are off.

22:49 Palace complete Nketiah signing

As expected, Crystal Palace have now completed the signing of Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal for £30m.

22:45 Wolves add another before deadline

Wolves have added another signing on deadline day following the addition of Sam Johnstone, signing midfielder Andre from Fluminense.

22:43 Chelsea to give up on Osimhen

Time has finally run out for Chelsea, with Sky Sports reporting that the club have given up hope of signing Victor Osimhen before the deadline. A blow for the Blues.

22:41 Arsenal close to Sterling

There is only 20 minutes left until the deadline but Arsenal are reportedly close to signing Raheem Sterling from Chelsea on loan before the window shuts. Will they get it done in time?

21:49 Nelson heading to Ipswich

Sky Sports News say Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson has chosen to join Ipswich on loan.

21:45 Chelsea close to Sancho

David Ornstein is reporting that Chelsea are on the verge of an agreement with Manchester United to sign Jadon Sancho on loan with an obligation to buy him afterwards.

21:36 Man Utd complete Ugarte signing

Manchester United have finally announced the signing of midfielder Manuel Ugarte from PSG. The midfielder joins in a £50m deal.

20:11 Chelsea still hoping for Osimhen and Sancho

Chelsea are still trying to reach deals for both Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho. Time is not on their side, will they reach agreements before the window shuts at 11pm?

20:09 McTominay exit confirmed

Scott McTominay’s expected departure from Manchester United has now been confirmed, with the midfielder joining Serie A side Napoli for £25m.

Some big breaking news just three hours before the deadline!

The Athletic’s David Ornstein is reporting that Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Raheem Sterling from Chelsea. It was reported earlier today that Arsenal was a possible destination for Sterling and now discussions are taking place.

19:46 Palace agree Chalobah deal

The Athletic’s David Ornstein is reporting that Crystal Palace have agreed a deal to sign out of favour Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah on loan for the season.

19:44 Nelson could leave Arsenal before deadline

Reiss Nelson could join Eddie Nketiah on leaving Arsenal before the deadline, with Sky Sports News reporting that four clubs are interested in the winger.

19:42 League one Birmingham splashing the cash

League One Birmingham are set to spend £10 MILLION on Fulham striker Jay Stansfield. Wow!

19:40 Crystal Palace complete defender signing

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Wolfsburg centre-back Maxence Lacroix on a five-year deal for a fee of £21m. The Eagles sold defender Joachim Andersen to Fulham earlier on in the window.

17:12 Lo Celso leaves Tottenham

The out of favour Giovanni Lo Celso is leaving Tottenham on a permanent deal, returning to Real Betis where he played for two years between 2018 and 2020.

As part of the deal, Tottenham will have right of first refusal on American forward Jhonny Cardoso. The 2001 born New Jersey native is in the USMNT fold, playing predominately as a deep lying midfielder.

17:05 An update on Osimhen from The Athletic

David Ornstein reports that Chelsea’s move for Victor Osimhen is far from complete, with the player unwilling to take a major pay cut to move to London.

“He is keen on the move and has been [Chelsea’s] top target for a number nine all summer, but he would have to agree to Chelsea’s incentive based wage structure.”

16:53 Newcastle consider swoop for Anthony Elanga

Anthony Elanga could be set for a move from Nottingham Forest to Newcastle, as the Magpies are reportedly exploring a “big-money” move for the winger, reports Alex Crook.

A Sweden international with 17 caps, Elanga broke out at Manchester United in 2021 before moving to the City Ground two years later, where he has scored five goals in 37 appearances.

16:40 Toney completes medical ahead of Saudi switch

Ivan Toney’s move to Al Ahli is nearing completion as Fabrizio Romano reports that the player has passed his medical in London.

It will just come down to the paperwork now, the move is all but done.

16:26 Wolves add Carlos Forbs and Andre

Wolverhampton Wanderers have added 20-year-old Ajax winger Carlos Forbs to the squad, bringing the player in on loan with an option to buy come the end of the season.

A Portugal youth international, Forbs played in both Sporting Lisbon and Manchester City academies before making his senior debut at Ajax, where he has scored twice in 22 league appearances.

Fluminese midfielder Andre will also join for around £18.5m after passing his medical this afternoon.

16:18 Options emerge for Trevoh Chalobah

In a sad indictment of modern football, Trevoh Chalobah finds himself being forced out of Chelsea, the club he has represented since he was eight years old.

Chalobah broke into the first team under Frank Lampard’s management, but has found himself knocked down the pecking order in favour of big-money defensive signings.

With the deadline approaching, Ben Jacobs reports that Newcastle and Crystal Palace have emerged as potential destinations for the Briton.

Wolves are also reported to be interested in the player, who will need to find a new home if he is to avoid toiling in Chelsea’s reserves this season.

16:10 Ramsdale bids heartfelt goodbye to Arsenal supporters as Gunner's close deal for his replacement

“Thank you to all of my team mates for going to battle with me; we certainly gave it a good go and had some fun. Finally, and most of all, thank you to the Gunners for always being behind me! I will love you forever.”

So wrote Aaron Ramsdale upon the announcement of his move from Arsenal to Southampton today. Ramsdale’s time at the Emirates was far from perfect and fraught with challenges, though he was always held in high regard by players and fans alike.

Arsenal have confirmed his replacement today, too, loaning in Bournemouth’s Neto.

16:07 Daniel Podence leaves Wolves in favour of Saudi Pro League

Wolves winger Daniel Podence has agreed a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Shabab for the cut price fee of just £5m, though the deal is understood to include a significant sell-on clause according to Ben Jacobs.

Podence has 16 goals and 9 assists in 108 appearances for Wolves since joining in January 2020.
