Ruben Amorim held his first press conference as Man Utd boss a little while ago and denied that the job is an “impossible” one.
“Of course not, I truly believe that. Call me naive, I truly believe I’m the right guy for the right moment. I’m not worried about that.”

Away from his new contract, Pep Guardiola says Mateo Kovacic will miss “a few weeks or a month” through injury.
Asked why he has signed a two-year extension and not just one, he jokes: “For the weather!
More seriously, he says: “I didn’t want next season to be about Pep’s last year. I would like to stay for two more years.”
