Fulham v Liverpool LIVE – Reaction after Arne Slot’s side suffer only second league defeat of season

Arne Slot made an interesting comparison between his Liverpool side and former Premier League champions Man City after today’s defeat to Fulham.

Arne Slot backs Mo Salah to get back to his best after his recent run without a goal. “Maybe he should see it as a compliment [that people are talking about it] because his numbers were not normal [when he was scoring],” he told the BBC.

“The good thing about Mo is he knows what kind of player he is. Mo will show up again, I don’t worry about that.”

Arne Slot says his Liverpool side made too many mistakes in the defeat to Fulham.

“That was a difficult spell of 14 minutes [three goals conceded]. Apart from [Fulham’s] quality and finishing, it was mostly to do with our errors,” he told Sky Sports.

“In general we are not making many of these errors – let alone three in one game. Our second half performance was so much better but it is hard to win a game at this level if you concede three in the first half.”

The Reds have dominated since Luis Diaz’s goal and could have been level. Robertson’s cross across the penalty area evades everyone but is picked up by Harvey Elliot, whose curling effort ricochets off the bar.

Sasa Lukic, Andreas Pereira and Rodrigo Muniz all depart.

The are replaced by Harrison Reed, Emile Smith Rowe and Raul Jimenez.

Liverpool have got one back! Conor Bradley tees up fellow substitute Luis Diaz, who sets himself before firing the ball past Bernd Leno to give Arne Slot’s side hope.
