Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has suggested that he plans to start Ebere Eze in Thursday’s Conference League clash with Fredrikstad.

Tottenham are in talks with Palace over signing Eze and are hopeful of concluding a deal to bring in the 27-year-old.

But having trained ahead of the Conference League qualification play-off, Glasner suggested he, and team-mate Marc Guehi, who has also been linked with a move away, will play.

“Many of you were surprised he and Marc [Guehi] started against Chelsea, you may be surprised they (him and Eze) start tomorrow, but they are committed to the team,” he said ahead of the first-leg clash at Selhurst Park.

“They will play a crucial part for as long as they are here they are committed to the team. If they leave, they want to leave as the guys who gave 100% to Crystal Palace.

“They are still committed and professional. It showed in the Chelsea game. Both of them were phenomenal in that game.

“Things can always happen until the window is closed, but we are always focused on what we have to do.

“We take it game by game, showing the best performance we can.”
