Pep Guardiola says he is unsure whether Rodri will be able to return for Man City’s Champions League clash with Monaco on Wednesday.
The Spaniard missed City’s 5-1 thrashing of Burnley because of a knee problem.
And Guardiola says he is unsure of how long it will keep him out for.
“I don’t know right now how the pain is in his knee,” he told BBC Sport.
“He said to us that he was not ready to play.”
City had two own goals from Esteve, as well as a Matheus Nunes goal and double from Erling Haaland to thank for their demolition of Burnley.
And the City boss hopes the big win is a sign of his team finding their confidence following a mixed start to the campaign.
“I think the team is really good, always I have repeated it,” he said.
“I said ‘you are so good guys’. Hopefully they can believe me.”

Let rodri rest thats why niko gonzalez was signed to be helping him. Even without momaco can’t beat us
