Jordan Henderson has now undergone surgery on the arm injury he suffered in the aftermath of England’s win over Mexico.
The Brentford midfielder fell over the advertising hoardings during the celebrations following England’s 3-2 victory.
He is now set to miss the remainder of the World Cup but will stay with the team.
“Surgery done. Let’s get ready for the big one on Saturday,” Henderson posted on his Instagram.
“Thank you to all the staff that looked after me at Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute, especially the three surgeons who carried out the operation – Dr. Kenneth P Unruh, Dr. Mark J Winston, Dr. Kirk McCullough.”
