Roy Hodgson has returned to management at the age of 78, taking over at Bristol City until the end of the season.

The former England boss replaces Gerhard Struber, who has been sacked by the Championship club after a poor run of form.

Hodgson’s last job in management was at Crystal Palace, leaving in February 2024.

He took charge of Bristol City back in 1982, though only for four months.

“I have had great conversations with the board and I am really excited by the opportunity to help until the end of the season,” Hodgson said.
