‘I was pretty sure’ – Cardiff City boss delivers latest transfer update after Norwich defeat

Brian Barry-Murphy is hoping Cardiff City can make significant progress in the transfer market after their Carabao Cup defeat to Norwich.

Cardiff were knocked out of the competition following the defeat at home, but Barry-Murphy is already looking ahead to strengthening his squad before the transfer window closes.

Asked how busy he expected Cardiff to be over the coming days, the Bluebirds boss told Wales Online: “Hopefully, very.”

Barry-Murphy also remains hopeful that a target he expected to arrive before the Norwich game can still complete a move to the club.

“I would certainly hope so,” he replied.

“I was pretty sure we’d have somebody in today, so hopefully that’ll be the case by Thursday.”
