Harry Kane believes Anthony Gordon is proving he belongs at the highest level after another impressive England performance in the 2-0 win over Czechia.
Gordon opened the scoring, heading in from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross before Kane added the second.
The England captain praised the Barcelona winger’s recent displays for the Three Lions and believes Gordon is increasingly establishing himself as one of the key figures in Thomas Tuchel’s side.
“He’s showing that he belongs at the highest level, for Barcelona and England,” Kane said.
“His performances in the last couple of games have been some of his best that he has played in an England shirt and I think he is just relishing putting the shirt on and being one of the main men in the team.
“He is an important player for us and he showed that during the World Cup.”
