Arsenal trained on Monday morning ahead of Tuesday’s UEFA Women’s Champions League tie against Chelsea, but key players were missing.

The first leg of the all-English quarter-final will take place at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

After missing Arsenal’s Women’s Super League tie against West Ham on Saturday, Leah Williamson was absent from training because of an ongoing hamstring injury.

Australian trio Steph Catley, Caitlin Foord and Kyra Cooney-Cross were also missing, following the Women’s Asian Cup – the Matildas reached the final on Saturday, but lost 1-0 to Japan in Sydney.

Olivia Smith was also missing from the training sesson, with more information on this expected when Renee Slegers speaks in her press conference on Monday afternoon (13:00 GMT).
