Daniel Farke says Lukas Nmecha is set to return to training this week, and could be involved against Sunderland.

The forward has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury.

But the Leeds boss says he is closing in on a return to action, though Daniel James and Sean Longstaff are still sidelined.

“No chance for Sean or for Daniel James,” Farke said.

“There’s a small chance for Lukas Nmecha to be involved. There’s some progress. I hope have him back in team training this week.

“If he comes through these sessions then he could definitely be a topic for the squad and he could travel with us but he’s more or less the only one from the long-term injuries that could perhaps feature in this game.”
