Live updates as Chelsea take on League One Lincoln City in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Enzo Maresca admits there were a few angry words at half-time!
Watch is reaction here…
The referee’s whistle signals an end to the game and Chelsea have got the job done.
Lincoln can hold their heads high after an impressive display but ultimately they did not have enough. Maresca will probably not be best pleased with the performance, but two moments of brilliance are enough to send Chelsea through to the next round.
Walsh is sent on to replace Buonanotte.
Perhaps more of a time-wasting exercise than anything else from Maresca at this stage.
Cucurella is booked for a foul inside his own half.
The free-kick represents one last chance for Lincoln to get the ball in the box, with goalkeeper Jeacock sent up.
There will be a minimum of four additional minutes played.
Lincoln remain hopeful of finding the goal that would send this tie to penalties.
Chelsea have just been taking the sting out of the game in the final moments.
The Blues have been controlling the ball as they look to maintain their lead.
The hosts make their final change of the night.
Montsma is replaced by Okoronkwo.
Substitute Collins has been shown a yellow card.
The Lincoln number nine felt that his opponent went down too easily and is booked for his reaction.
Chelsea break forward and Neto slide in Mheuka with a perfect chance to seal the win.
However the youngster’s effort is saved by Jeacock and we remain at 2-1.
The hosts respond to the visitors’ triple change with a quadruple substitution of their own.
Varfolomeev, House, Street and Draper make way for Bayliss, Hackett, Obikwu and Collins.
George, Gittens and Fernandez all make way for Maresca’s side, with Mheuka, Neto and Cucurella sent on.
This game is far from over.
The hosts are continuing to cause Chelsea problems and the Blues will certainly need at least one more goal before they can start to relax.
Lincoln look like scoring every time they get into the penalty area – and they are doing that regularly.
House is booked for bundling Fernandez down as Chelsea looked to break forward.
The Argentinian midfielder is continuing to play with an aggression that could land him in trouble after his earlier booking.
Garnacho is now withdrawn by Maresca just before the hour mark, and he is replaced by Estevao.
The Argentinian winger has looked a threat in moments but it has been far from his best performance.
Although they now find themselves before, Lincoln are certainly not rolling over here.
The Imps are still right in this game.
Garnacho, now out on the right wing, drives past a couple of defenders before trying his luck from the edge of the box.
His shot is weak and dribbles slowly into the goalkeeper’s hands.
Chelsea’s captain is the next man to receive a yellow card.
It is not entirely clear what for, but he seems to have said something out of turn to the referee.
And just like that the game has flipped and Chelsea are leading.
Buonanotte wriggles through the Lincoln defence before slotting past the goalkeeper. Whatever Maresca said at half-time has worked wonders.
Chelsea have themselves level and in some style.
George rifles a low shot past the Lincoln goalkeeper from outside the box, it hits the post before rolling across the goal line and in. It is the Blues first shot on target of the match.
George takes the kick off for the visitors and the second half is underway.
A big half for Maresca as his men look to avoid a third successive defeat.
The referee’s whistle ends a brilliant first half performance from the hosts, whose fans are in full voice as they show their appreciation.
Lincoln have threatened constantly, had the better chances and deserve to be leading. It is a Chelsea side with a number of new faces but there is more than enough quality in their team to blow away their League One opposition. Enzo Maresca will be expecting huge improvements in the second period.
Jorgensen has not looked confident at all tonight.
Chelsea’s goalkeeper almost loses the ball under pressure but just about manages to avoid the danger.
Three minutes of additional time will be played.
It looks like Chelsea will be heading in at the break a goal down.
Lincoln go 1-0 up and it cannot be said that it is an undeserved lead.
Street has thoroughly impressed so far and when played through on goal, he did not doubt himself for a second. The striker cooly slotted past Jorgensen to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
After wriggling away from his man Gittens drives into the box from near the corner flag.
The winger drills a low shot straight into the side netting.
