Liverpool let a two-goal lead slip as Leeds fought back to draw 3-3 with the reigning Premier League champions.

Hugo Ekitike’s early second-half double set Liverpool on the path to victory but Leeds scored twice in quick succession themselves – first from a Dominic Calvert-Lewin penalty following a clumsy challenge from Ibrahima Konate on Willy Gnonto, and then through Anton Stach to level it at 2-2.

Liverpool looked to have won back all three points when Dominik Szoboszlai raced clear and slotted past Lucas Perri.

But in second-half stoppage time, Ao Tanaka smashed home from a corner to salvage a point for Daniel Farke’s side and add to Reds boss Arne Slot’s woes.
