Liverpool are said to be readying a huge £130m bid for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
The Reds saw a bid rejected for Isak earlier this summer but The Telegraph say they are set to go back in with another offer before the window closes.
Isak has not played for Newcastle this season, with the Sweden international having expressed his desire to leave the club this summer.
Newcastle have completed the signing of striker Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart in a club-record deal worth £69m.
The 23-year-old scored 17 goals in 33 games for the club in all competitions last season and joins the Magpies on a six-year contract.
Newcastle are believed to want to bring in another striker before letting Isak leave, however.
Meanwhile, the Athletic say that Manchester United have agreed to let Rasmus Hojlund join Napoli on an initial loan deal with the obligation to buy the striker for £38m if the Serie A side qualify for the Champions League, but personal terms with the player are still being discussed.
Antony’s move from Man Utd to Real Betis appears in jeopardy, however, with the BBC reporting that the Spanish club are saying they have withdrawn their offer for the Brazilian.
United also remain in discussions over a move for goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
Elsewhere, the Athletic are also reporting that Arsenal are set to complete a deal to sign defender Piero Hincapie on an initial loan deal from Bayer Leverkusen.
They report that the deal also includes an option for the Gunners to buy the centre-back for £45m after his loan deal.
Oleksandr Zinchenko could be on his way out of Arsenal, however, with Marseille keen on signing the left-back.
Christopher Nkunku has left Chelsea to join AC Milan on a permanent deal, while Nicolas Jackson is closing in on a move to Bayern Munich from the Blues, who are hoping to conclude a loan deal for Facundo Buonanotte and the permanent signing of Alejandro Garnacho.
Sky Sports say AC Milan are also working on a deal to sign defender Manuel Akanji from Manchester City.
And Nottingham Forest have signed defender Nicolo Savona from Juventus for £11.25m.
