Man City boss Pep Guardiola says there is no injury concern over Rodri after the midfielder was taken off against Napoli.
Guardiola’s side beat the Serie A champions 2-0 thanks to goals from Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku, after Napoli defender Giovanni Di Lorenzo had been sent off.
But Rodri was taken off on the hour mark, though Guardiola says he is not concerned despite the midfielder asking to come off.
“Yes, he asked to be out but he’s fine,” Guardiola said.
Haaland has now become the quickest player to get to 50 Champions League goals, beating Ruud van Nistelrooy’s previous record.
“What can I say? The numbers speak for themselves,” Guardiola said when asked about the Norwegian striker.
“How lucky and fortunate we are to have him and just congratulate him because in terms of goals it’s not just van Nistelrooy but Lewandowski, and especially Cristiano (Ronaldo) and Messi. Erling is there.
“In terms of goals, he’s unbelievable.”
Phil Foden also impressed again, setting up Haaland’s opener, and Guardiola believes he is getting back to his best.
“I’ve said before how I miss him, how we miss Phil,” Guardiola said. “The last two games have been the Phil that we know.
“We are so happy because I know how much he is happy and has joy and his life is fine. The rest, his natural and incredible talent comes along.”
