Bernardo Silva misses Manchester City’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Newcastle through injury.
The Portugal midfielder has not been included in the squad to take on the Magpies, as City look to set up a final clash with Arsenal at Wembley.
“Bernardo is ruled out with injury,” Manchester City said, announcing their squad for the game.
But in a boost for boss Pep Guardiola, defender Ruben Dias is back involved once again following his spell out with injury.
Sverre Nypan is also in the squad after returning from his loan spell at Middlesbrough.
Speaking after the game on Bernardo Silva’s injury, Guardiola said: “I don’t know. Bernardo is special. We’ll see.
“Yesterday he said to me he feels quite good, I want to try, but I don’t know. It’s less dangerous than a hamstring, it’s another type of muscle in the hamstring position.
“We’ll see in the next days. He’s an incredible doubt (for Sunday) but he will try. But right now, I don’t know.”
