LIVE updates from Old Trafford as Manchester United make their return to the Champions League and take on Azerbaijani side Sabah FK.
Michael Carrick: “We’ve got really good players. It’s nice to get Mason [Mount] and Andrey [Santos]. There are some good connections and we have played some good football through the middle of the pitch.
“A lot of it is on wavelength and understanding of where each other wants the ball. Just understanding and developing is something we have done a bit more this season. We haven’t had the perfect start but there are really good signs. It’s always nice to win the first [Champions League game] one at home.”
Man Utd striker Benjamin Sesko on whether tonight was the perfect preparation ahead of facing Man City: “Definitely. The confidence boost here is definitely big.
“Now it’s just important to recover good and focus on the derby.”
A much-needed win and clean sheet for United who will certainly be satisfied with their return to the Champions League tonight.
There are still some defensive concerns for Carrick to iron out, but he will not be too fussed tonight. Next up is the Manchester derby, back here on Sunday.
Sabah head over with what is likely to be the last chance of the game.

Three minutes of injury time have been added on.
Sabah continue in search of a consolation, but they have not had as much joy going forwards in the second half.
United are happy to just pop the ball around now, as the clock continues to tick down.
They are not chasing any more goals tonight.

United have a fourth and it is a completely bizarre goal.
The free-kick is dinked over the wall for Zirkzee who attempts to cut it back. The cross is intercepted but the ball bounces off a Sabah defender, the goalkeeper, another defender and through the goalkeeper’s legs, before Martinez taps it home on the goal-line.
Lepinjica swipes Mount’s legs as the midfielder looks to get forward.
The Sabah defender is booked and United have a dangerous free-kick.
Zirkzee looks to have an immediate impact.

Dorgu picks up a yellow card for a foul just outside United’s penalty area.
Sabah now have a free-kick in a dangerous position.
United come forward again and this time it is Fernandes who tries for his second of the night.
His shot from the edge of the area is a tame one, and does not trouble the goalkeeper.
Cunha strikes from the edge of the box and looks to find the bottom corner.
However, the goalkeeper gets down well and makes the stop.
Mazraoui cuts inside on the edge of the box and blasts a left-footed effort over.
The right-back evidently fancies a goal tonight, as that is already his fourth shot of the match.
This game feels like a foregone conclusion now, and the second half has certainly started like that.
United will already be starting to think about Sunday’s Manchester derby.
The visitors take the kick-off and we are back underway in the second half.
A long way back for Sabah now.

The Englishman is on to play his first minutes of the season.
It was not an entirely convincing first half performance but United lead by three and that should be the game decided.

United have the third and the game is decided before half-time.
It is far too easy for the Reds, Mbeumo plays a simple ball in behind for Sesko, who calmly rounds the goalkeeper and finishes into the empty net.
United add a second before the break and this time it is Fernandes.
Tielemans lays it off for the United captain, who is level with the penalty spot, and he comfortable guides an effort past the goalkeeper.
