“Today was not a lack of enthusiasm, it was a lack of speed and control.”

Paul Scholes asks him if he has the players to suit his system: “They are not used to playing like that.

“Sometimes it is not the right profile but we have to improve the players.”

“We had difficulties to press high, this team is not used to that.”

“The feeling is that we have so much to do. I felt that the team was really tired after Liverpool and Arsenal.

“Even in the first half, when he has the ball he can push the ball. That type of player is really important. We didn’t do a very good game but winning is the most important thing.”

Entering the final three minutes of normal time here and either side could still run away the victor.
