Maresca provides injury update on Chelsea duo

Enzo Maresca is hopeful that Liam Delap and Estevao could return for Chelsea’s game against Aston Villa on December 27.

Delap has been sidelined since the start of December with a shoulder injury but is progressing well in his recovery, Maresca says.

Estevao, meanwhile, missed Chelsea’s Carabao Cup win over Cardiff with a muscle injury.

“We are good,” Maresca said when asked for an update on team news.

“The ones that we left out for Cardiff are okay. Liam Delap and Estevao are probably available for Aston Villa and Romeo [Lavia] is still out, Levi [Colwill] is still out.”

On Delap, Maresca added: “We said since his injury, we didn’t know exactly for how long but he is progressing well.”
