Maresca reveals Chelsea injury blow after beating Cardiff to reach Carabao Cup semi-finals

Enzo Maresca says Estevao missed Chelsea’s Carabao Cup win over Cardiff City with an injury problem.

The Brazilian was not included in the Blues squad as they progressed to the Carabao Cup semi-finals with a 3-1 win in Wales.

He is also set to miss the Premier League clash with Newcastle, Maresca says.

“He had a small problem, a muscle problem,” the Blues boss explained.

“He won’t be available for Newcastle, and we’ll see for the next one.”
