Arsenal are hoping to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martín Zubimendi this month according to various reports.
The Sun, the Daily Mirror and Spanish outlet Sport all say the Gunners are keen on the 24-year-old, who is believed to have a release clause of around £50m.
Arsenal are also reportedly eyeing up Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee, the Daily Telegraph report.
The Serie A club are understood to want around £50m for the 22-year-old but the Telegraph add that a move for the forward could be more likely in the summer with Bologna not keen on selling him this month.
Chelsea are eyeing up Brighton’s teenage star Evan Ferguson, the Evening Standard say.
Nizaar Kinsella reports that the Blues are long-term admirers of the striker but he is likely to cost more than £100m, with the Seagulls under no pressure to sell.
He adds that a new striker is a top transfer priority for the club but that they are in no rush to sign one in January, with Victor Osimhen, Ivan Toney both of interest as well as Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez, RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy.
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is keeping tabs on Ajax striker Brian Brobbey as they begin to plan their summer transfer window, the Daily Mirror report.
And Eddie Howe has warned Newcastle fans that signing players will be difficult this month due to financial fair play rules, stating: “In an ideal world, given the freedom to act we would have brought players in already. But we’re not in that situation – as Darren [Eales, Newcastle CEO] alluded to on Thursday, Financial Fair Play is a problem for us, and we’re having to navigate round that.”
